When it Doesn’t Make Sense
Hi there,
The days are longer and brighter—and I’m here for it! The pollen? A HARD pass.
As I share below, it’s been more difficult to practice my ideal forms of rest during this particularly full season. But finding ways to make it happen anyway has made those slower moments even sweeter.
Resting
An invitation to slow down long enough to hear what your mind, body, and heart are telling you.
Sometimes rest happens easily. Other times, you have to be intentional about creating space for it.
We just came off a beautiful, connective Spring Break. I’m especially grateful that even without a big trip or camp, we didn’t just survive—we truly thrived.
A key part of that? I built in moments to replenish so I could be fully present with my kiddos. That looked like my parents taking the kids one day, and my husband and son heading out for a fishing trip on another.
And what did I prioritize on both of those days? A workout. One day, even a double session. HIIT and Pilates help bring me back to center and allow me to fully enjoy what’s ahead.
In a week full of caring for others, those intentional pauses made all the difference in my wellbeing and in the richness of our connection. How can you be more proactive about planning your intentional pauses over the next few weeks?
Remembering
An invitation to reconnect with your brilliance - the wisdom, creativity, and magic within and around you.
We were sitting around the table, stuffed after a delicious Easter dinner, when my son suggested we play a game: telephone.
He started the message, whispering it to one of our dinner guests. By the time it got to me, it was still intact. Then it was my three-year-old daughter’s turn. She passed along her version and when it reached the end, it was close… but not quite.
We all laughed.
It reminded me of how, as kids, the final message would often be nothing like the original. This time, even the slight remix gave us a moment of joy and authentic connection.
Recasting/Realizing
An invitation to imagine the life you desire and pursue it with joy as your compass.
Two recent intake sessions with women leaders gave me a fresh perspective on holding both dreams and reality.
Different stories, same thread: highly accomplished women navigating overwhelm and disconnection, living on autopilot as packed calendars dictate their days from early morning to late night.
And yet…
Despite feeling stretched thin, each one is still investing in what fuels her.
For one, it’s running and lifting every morning.
For the other, it’s getting on stage.
The appearance of “no time” isn’t stopping them. Instead, they’re doubling down on what anchors them and actively creating a more aligned reality we’ll continue to build together.
So pause. Even when it doesn’t make sense. That’s often when you need it most.
There are still a few spots open for the Protected Strategic Pause, a dedicated space to address the mindset, behavior, or practice that may be getting in the way of moving forward with greater ease and flow. Claim a spot by filling out this brief form.
I’d love to hear how you’re protecting your pause this month and how it’s fueling your growth.
Joyfully,
Elandria
